Ongoing Swiss Research Projects

all sections will be available soon ... 🙂

The Swiss Society of Molecular Pathology (SSMP) actively supports innovative research aimed at advancing diagnostic precision and patient care. Our current research initiatives focus on cutting-edge topics, including:

Biomarker Discovery and Validation

Projects exploring novel biomarkers to enhance diagnostic accuracy, prognostic predictions, and personalized therapeutic approaches, particularly in oncology and hereditary diseases.

Next-Generation Sequencing Technologies

Studies evaluating and optimizing advanced sequencing methods for improved diagnostic accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and faster clinical integration.

Collaboration and Partnerships

Our projects are carried out in close collaboration with leading Swiss research centers, university hospitals, and diagnostic laboratories, ensuring that findings rapidly translate into clinical practice.

Participating institutions include:

  • University Hospitals (Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Bern, Basel)
  • Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich, EPFL)
  • Swiss Cancer Centers
  • Private diagnostic laboratories specializing in molecular diagnostics

Through these initiatives, SSMP fosters innovation, supports cutting-edge science, and actively contributes to advancing patient care through precision diagnostics in Switzerland.
